In a press release issued this Friday, November 25, 2022, the City Council and the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg warn of an ongoing scam in the territory.
Scam sale of waste collection calendars
According to the communities, who indicate that they have received several reports, “people posing as community waste collection agents” would go to residents’ homes to “offer the sale of calendars in various municipalities of the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg”.
This is a fraudulent approach. The calendars of the community waste collection and recovery service are distributed free of charge to the mailboxes of all the inhabitants of the Eurometropolis at the end of the year.
“The community invites residents to remain vigilant, to alert the police if false agents solicit them and to warn those around them”, finally adds the latter.
