The Story of Iris Jones: Her Separation from Egyptian Husband Mohamed Ibrahim

Al-Marsad Newspaper: The British elderly woman, Iris Jones, revealed the story of her separation from her Egyptian husband, Mohamed Ibrahim, after a marriage that lasted nearly two and a half years.

And she said in a post on her Facebook page: “I would like to tell you all the truth about the relationship between me and Muhammad, since the day he first texted me on June 25, 2019, when we became friends on Messenger.”

“He seemed like a nice man. He told me he was forced into marriage and as a result had four children. He was going through a breakup and he felt I was the person he could understand and talk to.”

And she added: “He sent me pictures of himself and I told him you will soon find another person, a handsome young woman like you, because I am an old lady of 79 years old, and I have two older sons than him, who are married and live near me.”

And she continued: “Our letters continued to each other, and I began to realize that he loved me, and on July 10, 2019, he proposed marriage, and my first reaction was that he was very crazy, but the love continued, and in November 2019 I traveled to Cairo and met him.”

Jones indicated that she took several thousand pounds with her to Cairo, and paid all of Ibrahim’s debts because he was borrowing from his credit card.

She noted that after three months in Egypt, Jones returned to the UK, and when she left Cairo, Mohamed wrote to her: “Check your bank account when you get back to Heathrow, I think you’ll have about nine thousand pounds there.”

And Iris continued angrily: “He was right, there were 9,000 pounds left of the 40,000 pounds, Muhammad never got a job, and he had no money at all, I used to tell people that we shared expenses, but my money was paying for everything.”
