The Health Committee in the Shura Council discussed the annual report of the National Center for the Promotion of Mental Health for the year 1444-43 and discussed appropriate ways to stimulate the private sector and the endowment sector. The Trade and Investment Committee of the Shura Council held a meeting chaired by Dr. Fahd bin Suleiman Al-Tukhaifi and in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Commerce, Dr. Iman bint Habbas Al-Mutairi, to discuss the annual report of the Ministry of Commerce for the fiscal year 1444-43, in the presence of the members of the Council, members of the committee and a number of officials in the Ministry of Commerce. Among the topics discussed at the meeting were a number of axes included in the report, including those related to the retail sector, commercial concealment, combating it, ways to ensure and guarantee consumer protection, control of adulterated products, and e-commerce and its affiliated sectors. The Ministry made efforts, and the meeting also discussed the initiatives presented by the Ministry in coordination with the relevant authorities to support basic consumer goods for people with limited incomes. They also asked about the procedures followed and the expected time plan to address the delay of car agencies in delivering them to customers and the high prices.
The meeting discussed the mechanisms that the Ministry of Commerce is working on to address the problem of products that harm the consumer, and the compensation that the consumer receives, wondering at the same time about the mechanisms of cooperation and integration between the Ministry of Commerce and the investment system to enhance channels of effective communication with investors. And the proposals that facilitate the treatment of the obstacles faced by the Ministry, which are mentioned in its annual report, where the Ministry officials responded to what was put forward by the members of the committee, to provide a clear vision during their study of the report.
The Committee on Transportation, Communications and Information Technology in the Shura Council discussed during a meeting chaired by Dr. Mutaib bin Ayed Al-Mutairi, and the participation of members of the Council, members of the Committee, with a number of officials of small and medium enterprises in the sectors of information technology and logistics services, at the headquarters of the Council in Riyadh, and the committee reviewed during the meeting the most prominent challenges that The establishments operating in the sectors of information technology and logistics services are facing, in addition to discussing a number of axes related to the quality of services provided, and the organizational aspects that support the growth and sustainability of their business.
