The Saes predicts a “compelling death” if their demands are not met.

The national conference of the autonomous union of higher education teachers from the sections of all the Campuses of Saint-Louis, Dakar, Thiès, Bambey, Ziguinchor, Sine-Saloum and the Virtual University (Saes) met to issue reservations about the situation of universities and the next face-to-face resumption of classes scheduled for September 1, 2020. The statutory body of the Saes denounced their non-involvement by the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation who, according to the secretary general of Saes, Cheikh Fall, decided to guide the 2019 baccalaureate holders without taking into account either the educational and social infrastructure or the opinion of the educational authorities.
This, he says, as enacted by the 2015 law of December 28, 2015.
Cheikh Fall, also requires the technical audit of the Campusen platform and recalls the educational autonomy of universities.
Worse, regrets, the Secretary General of the Saes, “the improvisations and errors noted in the implementation of virtual and fanciful accompanying measures announced with great pomp by the supervisory authority have put our universities in an extremely worrying situation”. On the strength of the above, the Saes demands that their demands be satisfied in order to avoid “an imperious death of the universities”.
