The Association of Restaurants in Bulgaria (SZB) and the Bulgarian Association of Restaurants are opposed to the post of acting Minister of Health Dr. Stoycho Katsarov.

The reason for the position of SZB and BAZ is the one announced by the Ministry of Health National plan to deal with the Sars-CoV-2 pandemic, announced in early July.

The organizations believe that this is a “crazy plan”, which envisages as the first measure the closure of restaurants – cafes, restaurants and nightclubs.

“Given that 12 weeks after the nightclubs opened in Bulgaria (the first in Europe), the incidence not only did not increase for a moment, but dropped more than 20 times! Which clearly shows that the problem with the spread is not in the establishments!”, are outraged by SZB and BAZ.

According to the organizations, the plan is puzzled by the requirement in its additional explanations, where it is said that restaurants will be able to work only with 100% vaccinated staff and 100% vaccinated customers, which according to them is again discrimination against restaurants – cafes, restaurants and nightclubs. clubs.

If this is the policy of the state, why does this apply only to one sector? Shouldn’t all public facilities be subject to the same restrictions and vaccination obligations? Is the personal choice of the workers in our sector or the state, in the person of the official Minister of Health, leaving the people working in our branch the choice whether to retrain in another branch or to be vaccinated ??? Why, instead of a universal state vaccination policy, is our industry used as a poorly disguised attempt to introduce compulsory vaccination? And he transfers the responsibility for it only to us! Vaccination cannot be the responsibility of establishments!

BAZ and SZB again insist on equal treatment of all sectors of the Bulgarian economy. They want an immediate complete change to the so-called “plan” to rule out any closure because of a virus against which there is a free and accessible vaccine.
