The Minister of Health, Salvador Illa has just announced that the Region of Murcia passes to phase 3 of the de-escalation as of Monday, as requested by the regional government. The Region requested this advance last Tuesday, which will also be joined by the municipality of Totana after spending only one week in Phase 2 due to the regrowth that occurred in the municipality.

Minister Montero recalled that in this last extension of the state of alarm, it will be the communities that will complete the de-escalation process, although for this they will have the help of the Ministry of Health.

Once the Region’s entry into phase 3 is published in the Official State Gazette (BOE), the Government of Spain will publish a standard order to hand over the management of the crisis to the autonomous communities.

In this sense, the regional government requested the precision and clarification of some of the measures provided for in the application of this phase 3. Specifically, limit outdoor activities, and in general, to one hundred people and 50 in activities carried out in closed premises.

He also asked that, in general and to unify criteria, the maximum number of people authorized to meet be set at 20. In addition, it requested that public and business transport companies be required to nominalize the ticket on those lines of an interprovincial nature and of medium or long distance, throughout the national territory, in order to identify users, as well as facilitate the tracking of possible contacts, in case the user is declared as a presumed case of contagion.

The regional government insists on the need to continue taking extreme precautions and appeals to individual responsibility in order to continue advancing towards the last phase of the de-escalation plan.
