The record is undeniably, This is the reason PKS Supports the HIP Bill Passing Plenary

JAKARTA – Member of Parliament Legislative Assembly from PKS Faction Bukhori Yusuf confirmed that the recorded voice circulating in cyberspace was his voice during the Legislative Body Plenary Meeting (Baleg) of the DPR related to the HIP Bill on April 22, 2020.

In a meeting chaired by Deputy Chair of the Legislative Body Rieke Diah Pitaloka, there was no PKS objection to the Pancasila Ideology Bill (HIP). Voice record circulating was not denied.

However, he gave three points of clarification regarding the recording which the public interpreted differently.

“The podcast was submitted in a legislative body meeting before the plenary decision-making. Secondly, the podcast was not submitted, or was not uploaded in full, “he stressed, Sunday (6/28).

While in the third clarification, Bukhori explained that there are two points that must be understood by the public regarding the complete attitude of PKS in the HIP Bill.

“One is that I agree with the proposals of some friends who ask for improvements and repairs before they are made plenary, as proposals for the legislative body, so that these will continue to open up improvements and that I will emphasize twice,” he said.

Furthermore, Bukhori explained that the meeting was held virtually, so that the opportunity to ask the leadership of the meeting to improve the draft of the HIP Bill had not been implemented. Because, the chairman of the meeting immediately knocked on the hammer and immediately brought the draft to the plenary session.

“The fact is that our proposal is specifically related to entering into consideration related to the MPRS TAP XXV / MPRS / 1966 until the plenary session was not included and there was no reason whatsoever,” he said.

“Now that’s what made us decide to refuse, because it is necessary to know is the decision for a bill to become a law or not is not in the legislative body not in the commission but in the plenary,” he said.
