On the subject of collecting, it is easy to imagine how many are the factors that masterfully linked can lead to one assessment somewhat faithful and shared of a particular object. In recent years, we have been able to observe how the world of collecting has literally crossed every border, coming to be, so to speak, present in multiple areas, giving the idea that everything, really everything can be collected.
In case specific of coins, perhaps one of the passions most shared by collectors all over the world, we enter a countryside quite particular, where in most cases, the evaluation of a certain “piece” can be determined by factors that are not even known or that are difficult to take seriously consideration. A good example? The 5 cent euro coin from 2003.

In this specific case we are talking about one currency 5 cent coin minted in Rome in 2003. So far nothing strange, also because we refer to the classic image of the coin, the one with the Colosseo on one of the two sides. In this case it should be considered that in 2003 less than 2 million copies of this very common coin were minted. The fact itself has determined, over the years, a certain one consideration and consequently, given the rarity numbers.
For a specimen in excellent condition conditions, this coin, which in any case we owe anyway to consider still in circulation and therefore with a very precise nominal value, it is possible to arrive at a valuation very close to 100 euro. An absolutely exceptional figure when you think about it.

Evaluations, in short, hardly imaginable to be honest. As mentioned, we are talking about money still in circulation and therefore in theory, difficult to approach to a precise average value. The magic of numismatics however, it also resides in certain evaluations, dynamics and conclusions, which make an object apparently of common accessibility a real rarity to be found around the world.
