Over the weekend, the Kremlin’s propaganda machine was hit by a small jolt: a blow over the edge. Journalist Anton Krasovskis went so far in his hate speech against Ukrainians that it was not acceptable even to his boss, the editor-in-chief of the “Russia Today” propaganda channel Margarita Simonyan.

Margarita Simonyan suspended Anton Krasovsky, who made genocidal remarks on Ukrainian children last week. According to him, all Ukrainian children who believed that the Soviet Union was an occupier should be “drowned in a river with a strong current”, but they could also be “pushed into huts and burned”.
Krasovsky’s hate speech began when his interviewee, Russian science fiction author Sergey Lukyaneko, told of his visit to Ukraine in the 1980s, where Ukrainian children told him: We’d live better if Moscow didn’t. had occupied. “Those children should have drowned, they should have drowned,” the propagandist sparked the conversation.
Furthermore, Krasovski mocked the news that Russian soldiers raped women in Ukraine.
A short video clip of the interview spread quickly on social media and on Sunday evening Krasovsky’s boss Simonyana tweeted: “Krasovsky’s statements are disgusting. It should be noted that Krasovsky’s thoughts did not go unnoticed among the highest officials of Ukraine. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called for Russia Today to be banned in countries where it is still broadcast: “Governments that have not banned it should just watch this segment,” he said.
