The Pride flag taken down and tried to ignite at school in Oslo

Rector Rachid Sealiti says NRK that he thinks the case is sad.

– We at Bjøråsen School are for inclusion, community, equality, rights, freedom, love and diversity, and I think it is sad that someone is trying to harm democracy and engage in discriminatory acts like this, says Sealiti.

Recently, there have been several episodes where pride flags have been torn down in schools in Oslo.

This has caused Rina Mariann Hansen (Labor Party), City Councilor for Work, Integration and Social Services in Oslo, to react. On Thursday, she urged the municipality’s businesses to report matters where flags are stolen or vandalized to the police.
