It’s saving the cost of irrigation water for the upcoming irrigation season compared to 2023, in order to protect the interests of agricultural producers, regardless of the risk of financial losses for “Irrigation Systems” EAD. The prices at which the supply of water for irrigation will be carried out are confirmed by a decision of the Board of Directors of the Company, based on which an order of the executive director was issued. They are determined both by branches and depending on the method of delivery.
The prices are formed as a ratio of the costs to the volume of the estimated water masses that will be supplied. The required amounts of water masses are based on the area, the structure of the crops intended for irrigation and the water masses required for their irrigation.
It is also planned that this year the farmers will be financed with up to 80% of the costs for the supply of water for irrigation. This will come after notification of State aid under the Temporary Framework for State aid measures in crisis and transition to support the economy after Russia’s war against Ukraine.
