The president of the As Mariñas Consortium, summoned to testify on April 9 | Radio Coruña

On April 9, the president of the As Mariñas Consortium, José Antonio Santiso Miramontes, the secretary and the controller of the regional entity, will have to testify before the Court, as a result of the complaint filed by the City Council of Oleiros for an alleged crime of prevarication. The mayor, Ángel García Seoane, considers that the audits carried out on the Consortium’s management question at least a dozen employment contracts for the organization’s personnel.

It indicates that there were abuses of temporary contracts for work or services, of hiring temporary workers and that selection procedures were not respected. García Seoane talks about hiring by hand.

The Oleirense councilor emphasizes that the personnel hired between 2017 and 2018 are not part of the municipal staff.

The President of the Consortium, and Mayor of Abegondo, José Antonio Santiso, believes that this complaint is one more pulse for Gelo to reach the presidency of the supramunicipal entity. Santiso says that nobody beats him in honesty.

This is a new clash between the Consortium and Oleiros, fueled in recent times in which the body has started the process leading to its disappearance and subsequent conversion into Association of Municipalities. After the departure of Arteixo, it welcomes eight councils. Oleiros’ complaint has been filed before the Betanzos Court of First Instance.
