Niinostiio said Russian President Putin is responsible for war crimes in Ukraine.
“It seems so. I think everything seems to be responsible for what happened for criminal actions,” said the president when he was reminded of the crimes of Bucha and Mariupol.
The president of Finland also spoke about his position on the hopes of French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to achieve a reduction in the escalation in Ukraine through negotiations with Putin.
“I strongly support the continuation of Macron and Scholz’s efforts, if there is a chance to save a life. If there is such an opportunity, it must be exploited. At the moment, I do not see such an opportunity,” Niininosti said.
