Born on PS VR in July 2018, The Persistence started his new multiplatform life. The title of the studio FireSprite, formed by alumni of the Liverpool Studio of Sony, is now playable in a classic way on PS4, Switch, Xbox One and PC.
Mix between horror and rogue-like, The Persistence puts us at the controls of a clone of security agent Zimri Eder, charged with saving a ship inhabited by formidable mutants and trapped by the force of attraction of a black hole. Our protagonist can perish as many times as necessary to reach his goal, his consciousness is automatically transferred to a new clone, but the layout of the ship changes with each try. Different objects and equipment are to be collected and improved to gradually strengthen his skills.
Note that VR is also supported on PC (Valve Index, Oculus Rift, Windows MR and HTC Vive via Steam). The game is offered at a price of € 29.99 for download, knowing that a physical edition is planned for Switch, Xbox One and PS4, but that complications related to COVID-19 delay its release.
