Action case ekshibisionisme a man near Sudirman Station began to find a bright spot. The suspect has been arrested by the police.
“We secured it last night at around 22.00 WIB,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Tanah Abang Police AKP Haris Ahmad when contacted, Monday (10/25/2021).
The perpetrator’s initials are known to be WYS (27). The perpetrator was arrested in the Karet area, Central Jakarta.
“We have secured the real perpetrators in the Karet area, yes, but not at the TKP (the crime scene) point,” said Haris.
Haris said on Saturday (23/10), his party had arrested another man suspected of being the perpetrator of exhibitionism near Sudirman Station. The man was taken to the Tanah Abang Police Station to be met with the victim.
However, at that time the victim felt that the man was not the perpetrator of the sexual harassment in question. Finally the police sent the man back.
The police then hunted down the exhibitionist again. Finally, the real perpetrator with the initials WYS was arrested on Sunday (25/10).
“We are currently asking for information. The person concerned has admitted the act,” said Haris.
This case began with a video showing a woman being a victim of sexual harassment that went viral on social media. The woman is known to be the victim of an unknown man’s exhibitionism.
“So some time ago I met an exhibitionist on the road from my office to Sudirman Station. He seemed to have been monitoring the road and the road was deserted,” said the victim in the video narration as seen on Friday (22/10).
In the viral video, you can see the condition of the pedestrian path that is deserted. The perpetrator was at the corner of the street as if waiting for the victim.
When the victim passed in front of the perpetrator, the victim claimed to have seen the man revealing his genitals. The victim immediately ran from the location.
