When a Tonglian passenger was running through the Houli section of National Highway No. 1, the driver parked the car behind the roadside and announced that he had fallen into a coma because he was not well. There are 31 passengers on the shuttle bus and the driver is currently hospitalized for observation. Yesterday was the last day of the Mid-Autumn Festival holidays. When a passenger crossed the 162.5-kilometer Houli section of National Highway No. 1, the driver suddenly stopped on the side of the road. The radio told the passengers in the car that he was unwell and needed to call an ambulance.
After the passenger driver finished speaking, he suddenly twisted and fell on the steering wheel. A passenger stepped forward to check and found the driver was sweating and out of breath. The other passenger saw him and quickly moved him to the front of the car to lie down. The whole process was posted on Facebook by the other passenger.
The passenger mentioned in the post that someone assisted the police and called an ambulance, and the ambulance staff continued to guide the passenger to give first aid to the driver through the cellphone speaker. When help arrived on the spot, the driver was out of breath and heartbeat. He is also present with the State Traffic Police to help direct traffic.
The hospital reported that the driver had no breath or heartbeat before arriving at the hospital, and after first aid, he is currently under observation in the intensive care unit with a coma index of 3.
Chen Shanghong, the Tai’an branch captain of the National Highway Third Brigade, pointed out in a telephone interview with reporters today that at 7:12 p.m. on the 11th, it was reported that a driver of the 162.5 of Houli of the National Highway n. 1 kilometer was in a coma. He subsequently lost consciousness. The passengers in the car underwent emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation, followed by an ambulance to assist in getting them to the hospital. Police directed traffic to the scene and the passenger transport company sent vehicles to pick up more passengers.
