Lightning struck a house and an electric pole in the village of Muhovo. Miraculously, there were no casualties. Despite the wind and the water regime in the village, the fire in the house was extinguished in a few hours. Neighboring properties have also been saved. A few hours later, the damage is clearly visible – the second floor of a house has completely burned down, Nova TV reports.
Fortunately, there was no one inside.
However, 95-year-old Kiril was in a neighboring property. A few meters from his home, the second lightning struck. And a fire broke out. The fire was creeping quickly toward his home, and neighbors were trying to stop it with all available means.
Rumen and Stefan were among those fighting the fire.
“Lightning struck and it ignited. There was no water in the fountains and we panicked. It’s good that the fire brigade came quickly and they had water, “they said. Larisa and her husband have been living in Muhovo for only two months. They come from Donetsk. She is also the first person to call for help. With a warning that there is no water in the village.
“I woke up and saw something in that direction. I called the fire department and warned that there was no water in our village. The fire was terrible. It’s just awful, ”says Larissa.
At dawn the fire was extinguished. Thanks not only to the firefighters, but also to the residents of Muhovo. “It’s a miracle. And a lot of stress. And a big thank you to God for saving everything “, adds Larissa.
