The Office Theory: Michael Scott’s Evolution Explained

In the first season of The Officeobservers a Michael Scott (Steve Carell) much worse than in later seasons. To be clear, in the first season he is a complete idiot.

However, from the second season onwards, his behavior worsens. The real explanation for this is that the writers made a deliberate decision to make the character more likable, but there is also an in-universe explanation for the show.
