The number of infected in the Czech Republic exceeded 20,000! It tightens in the Uherské Hradiště region

At one o’clock in the morning, the Ministry of Health updated data on the number of infected in the Czech Republic. There have been 20,012 confirmed cases since the beginning of the epidemic. 121 more people were infected on Sunday, a significant decrease compared to the previous day. On Saturday, the number of cases increased by 197, which was the highest Saturday increase since the end of June.

Sunday’s numbers did not change significantly compared to the previous week. 122 new cases were added last Sunday. Almost 14,000 patients have already recovered from the disease, so there are currently 5,816 active cases in the Czech Republic. Most of them are only mild – 104 patients with Covid-19 are currently hospitalized in hospitals.

As far as districts are concerned, Uherské Hradiště in the Zlín Region is currently the worst off. There are 33.75 infected per 100,000 inhabitants. It is followed by Prague with 32.47 patients with Covid-19 per 100,000 inhabitants and Frýdek-Místek with 32.14.

Havlíčkův Brod, Plzeň-sever, Klatovy, Opava and Chrudim also report a high number of people infected in the last seven days. In the Moravian-Silesian Region, which has been the most affected for a long time, the situation is beginning to calm down. In overall numbers, however, it is still the worst. A quarter of all infected, ie more than five thousand, is registered in the Moravian-Silesian Region.
