The new expatriate caravan moves through Mexico

Austin (KXAN) – now thousands of immigrants are marching through Mexico and heading to the United States – has been accused by the governor of Texas, Greg Abbott Press, of “irresponsible open border policies.” Joe Biden.

On Monday, Abbott tweeted: “The Biden administration is without a permit on the southern border.” Lone Star State Del Rio has stopped the uprising of illegal immigrants and we are ready to do it again.

The caravan is made up of between 3,000 and 4,000 people from Central and South America, some from Haiti. When arrested in southern Mexico, the group pushed Mexican police to use riot gear, breaking through police barriers.

The group’s leaders say their final destination is not the United States, but Mexico City, where they will seek humanitarian aid. But according to the Border Report, some members of the group have told reporters that they want to go to the United States.

The White House has yet to comment on the new caravan, but Greg Abbott’s office says troops from the Texas Department of Public Safety and the National Guard are working on a plan to stop the mass crossing.

This is a project similar to the uprising that stopped in Del Rio a month ago.

In a statement Monday, an Abbott spokesperson said: “Since the launch of Operation Lone Star in March, the Governor has deployed thousands of National Guard soldiers and DPS troops, and with $ 3 billion in border security funding, we are adding more DPS troops, guards and equipment. . Texas will continue to increase state resources and move forward to protect our borders and protect Texans in the absence of a federal government.
