The new chapter of the former CEO of Jakpro subsidiary is also accused of ML

Former Chief Executive Officer (Director) of PT Jakarta Infrastructure Propertindo (JIP) Ario Pramadhi and PT JIP VP Finance & IT Christman Desanto were involved in a case money laundry relating to allegations of corruption in the procurement of goods/services for the construction of Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) infrastructure by PT JIP in 2017-2018. The National Police, which is handling this case, said it had confiscated Rp 5.8 billion to recover state losses.

PT JIP is a subsidiary of PT Jakpro. Police said the alleged corruption cost the state finances Rs 240 billion.

“As regards the proceeds of crime, both the construction of telecommunication towers and the procurement of GPON goods/services, the investigators confiscated Rp 5.8 billion in the TPPU (Money Laundering Crime) case,” he said Brigadier General Karo Penmas Divhumas Polri Ahmad Ramadhan in his statement on Monday (12/12/2022).

“GPON procurement in the period 2017 to 2018 in Jakarta area was 87 place which resulted in state financial losses of IDR 71 billion,” he continued.

Currently, Bareskrim Polri investigators are still exploring the involvement of other parties that may be held criminally liable. Of note, Ario and Christman have come across cases of corruption, as well as criminal acts money laundry.

They now have Bareskrim Polri detainee status, after previously not being detained as they were deemed cooperative by investigators. Director of Corruption Crimes (Dirtipidkor) Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Cahyono Wibowo said the arrests were made after the two were suspected of being involved in money laundering stemming from corruption.

“Investigators from the Directorate of Corruption Crimes at the Bareskrim Polri arrested suspects in alleged criminal acts money laundry originated from corruption allegations related to the construction of telecommunication towers and the procurement of GPON (Gigabyte Passive Optical Network) by PT Jakarta Infrastruktur Propertindo,” Cahyono said in a written statement, Friday (9/12).

Cahyono said the two were arrested at the police’s Criminal Investigation Unit department. Christman has been detained since Monday (11/28). As for Ario Pramadhi, he has been arrested as of Friday (9/12/).
