The Netherlands with nearly 35,000 infected

Authorities in the Netherlands said for nearly 35,000 new coronavirus infections in the Netherlands as of Friday morning. That’s more than 10,000 more than the previous record set just a day earlier. All data missing from Thursday’s reports due to technical errors are also included, nltimes.nl reported.

An average of 63,281 tests were completed each day between December 30 and January 5, a third more than the previous week. More than 90,000 tests were conducted on January 5 alone.

We recall that the Netherlands, which has been under heavy lockdown in recent weeks over the coronavirus pandemic, will reopen primary and secondary schools on January 10, although the number of newly infected remains high. This was announced by the government of the country a few days ago.
