The Netherlands need not retrieve injured Syrian gangster Inland

The Supreme Court confirmed this this week. Because the women left of their own accord to the conflict zone, the Council was of the opinion that the court of justice was allowed to rule that the Dutch state “despite the compelling interests of the women and the children does not have to bring them to the Netherlands and does not have to make an effort to do so. ”

The woman brought summary proceedings because, in her view, her situation requires an exception. She was severely burned when a gas bottle exploded and a tent caught fire. She says she’s not getting enough medical care in the camp and that hygiene is insufficient for someone with such burns.

The judge does not believe that there is a serious medical and humanitarian emergency, as the woman stated. She has traveled voluntarily to the battle area, accepting the risk of ending up in a situation where she would need medical attention. According to the judge, that this concern does not meet Dutch standards is not a decisive argument. In the earlier rulings of the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, the appalling conditions in the camps had already been taken into account.
