Security Intelligence Agency (Baintelkam) National Police issue a Police Record Certificate (SKCK) for Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Karo Penmas Polri Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan said that the SKCK for Gibran was issued this Monday (23/10) and was signed directly by the Head of Police Intelligence and Security, Komjen Suntana.
“The SKCK in Gibran’s name was issued and signed by Mr. Kabaintelkam this morning at 09.00 WIB,” said Ramadhan in a written statement.
Ramadhan did not explain whether the request was submitted directly by Gibran or not. He also did not mention the purpose of the application for issuing the SKCK.
SKCK is an official certificate issued by the National Police as proof that the person concerned has good behavior or has never committed a crime.
The General Election Commission (KPU) has made the SKCK one of the requirements that must be completed by election participants, both legislative candidates and presidential and vice presidential candidates.
The National Police have issued seven SKCKs for the purposes of registering presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election. The seven SKCKs belong to Prabowo Subianto, Anies Baswedan, Ganjar Pranowo, Muhaimin Iskandar, Mahfud MD, Erick Thohir and Yusril Iza Mahendra.
Currently, Gibran has been officially promoted by the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) as Prabowo Subianto’s running mate in the 2024 presidential election.
The announcement was made directly by Prabowo at his residence, Jalan Kartanegara IV, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Sunday (22/10) evening.
“We have had final discussions by consensus, everyone agreed to nominate Prabowo Subianto as president of KIM, for 2024-2029, and Gibran’s brother Rakabuming Raka as vice presidential candidate for KIM,” said Prabowo.
