National Police agents have arrested three people in San Fernando and Jerez de la Frontera as alleged perpetrators of 15 crimes of fraud and belonging to a criminal group. The detainees had posted ads on web pages pretending to be prestigious breeders to offer the sale of purebred dogs. The scammers used false audiovisual material, both from the animals themselves and from the alleged facilities. Once the trust of the interested parties was won, they managed to convince them to make the purchase by sending the total amount by bank transfer, from that moment the amount disappeared and the interested parties never received the agreed puppy, the investigation is still open and the appearance is not ruled out of new affected.
The investigation began in Murcia and Ronda (Málaga) after several neighbors denounced having suffered a scam after paying 400 euros for the purchase of a purebred puppy and that they had never received, in addition to not being able to recover the money. The first investigations carried out discovered that one of the alleged implicated was a person residing in Jerez de la Frontera, so the investigation was referred to the Group of Technological Crimes of the Jerez de la Frontera Police Station where the report was continued to clarification of the facts. Investigators located the most affected and collected evidence that determined the identity of another second person implicated who acted in a concerted and coordinated manner to carry out the hoaxes.
Finally, with the participation of the Group of Technological Crimes of the San Fernando Police Station, a third person was identified and arrested, who turned out to be the leader of this criminal group that, abusing the legal interest of the victims, defrauded 6,700 euros from 15 people residents in Murcia, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Soria, Ronda (Málaga) Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz), Verea (La Rioja), Torre del Campo (Jaén), Santa Cruz de Mudela (Ciudad Real), Tiñosillos (Ávila) .
