This post office is located in Port LockroyGoudier Island, Antarctica. Located at the southern end of the earth, post office managed by the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust (UKAHT), the temperature is below freezing.

If you want to take a bath, water will be provided by a supply ship that calls at Godier Island once every few days. However, if the situation worsens, the water supply ship only arrives once every two weeks.
UKAHT had opened four positions to work there for five months. The traveler knew this, if it turns out that the list is up to 6,000 attendees.
Finally, UKAHT recruited four British women as its employees. They are Clare Ballantyne, Mairi Hilton, Natalie Corbett and Lucy Bruzzone.

Meanwhile, the task of counting the penguins has been given to Mairi Hilton. Prior to working at this post office, Hilton was a conservation biologist.
“This is my first time in Antarctica and obviously I’m very excited. Frankly, I can’t imagine how cold it is there. I don’t know if I have to face heavy snow every time I go to work,” the Hilton said.

Hilton said she was very happy with this task. He and other new employees will receive accident first aid courses and participate in seminars from penguin experts.
Each year, the office handles around 80,000 postcards sent to over 100 countries. More than 18,000 people visit Port Lockroy every year. This makes Port Lockroy one of the most visited places in Antarctica and visitor visits are the UKAHT’s main source of income.
