Donostia, Tarragona and Vitoria repeat as the Spanish cities with the most expensive taxi fares, according to a study carried out FACUA, comparing prices in a total of 56 Spanish cities. The analysis of the rates in each one of the routes considered in the study (minimum race or journey of 1 km, journey of 5 km and journey of 10 km, all during the day, at night and at weekend night) shows that the differences between cities reach 125% in the category of minimum race or journey of 1 km at night and at night on weekends, between the 6.75 euros that the journey costs in Málaga (including the supplement applied after 00:00) and the 3 euros that it costs in the palms.

The association has analyzed the rates in force in November and December 2021 of the 50 provincial capitals, the two capitals of autonomous communities that are not provincial capitals, the two autonomous cities and the two cities that, in their provinces, have a higher population than their capitals. Of the 56 provincial capitals, only 16 have raised their rates, which barely exceeds 0.2%.

Only 16 cities have raised rates

FACUA has detected that 16 of the 56 cities analyzed have raised their rates in 2021 compared to what they had the previous year.
