The most expensive taxi fares are in Donostia, Tarragona and Vitoria
Donostia, Tarragona and Vitoria repeat as the Spanish cities with the most expensive taxi fares, according to a study carried out FACUA, comparing prices in a total of 56 Spanish cities. The cheapest cities are, once again, the palms Y Ceuta. on the peninsula, Huelva it is the city where taxi fares are cheapest.
The analysis of the rates in each one of the routes considered in the study (minimum race or journey of 1 km, journey of 5 km and journey of 10 km, all during the day, at night and at weekend night) shows that the differences between cities reach 125% in the category of minimum race or journey of 1 km at night and at night on weekends, between the 6.75 euros that the journey costs in Málaga (including the supplement applied after 00:00) and the 3 euros that it costs in the palms.
The association has analyzed the rates in force in November and December 2021 of the 50 provincial capitals, the two capitals of autonomous communities that are not provincial capitals, the two autonomous cities and the two cities that, in their provinces, have a higher population than their capitals. Of the 56 provincial capitals, only 16 have raised their rates, which barely exceeds 0.2%.
Donostia, the second most expensive city, has the fourth cheapest rate per km traveled in the daytime rate (0.73 euros), behind The Gran Canarian palms (0,70 euros), Ceuta (0.71 euros) and Cádiz (0,72 euros).
Barcelona, on the other hand, has the most expensive km traveled in its day rate and the second most expensive in its night rate (1.18 and 1.41 euros respectively) and yet it is the city with the cheapest minimum night run rate (2,25 euros).
The average amount of the routes analyzed would cost in Tarragona 73.7% more than the price it would have in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
According to this study, Tarragona is the city, with 71 points (out of a maximum of 90), where the taxi is more expensive and the palms, with 2 points for having the lowest amounts of the 56 cities, the cheapest.
In this classification, Tarragona is followed, in the top ten positions, by Donostia (69), Vitoria (63), Teruel (61), Lleida Y Madrid (58), Santiago de Compostela (55), Málaga (54), Girona (53), Castellón, Soria, Gijón, Oviedo, Pamplona Y Valencia (all with 51 points).
At the opposite extreme, after Las Palmas they appear as cities with the cheapest taxi fares in the top ten Ceuta (11), Huelva (18), Cádiz (20), Jaén (22), Melilla (27), Almeria, Cuenca Y Huesca (28), Merida Y Córdoba (29).
Only 16 cities have raised rates
FACUA has detected that 16 of the 56 cities analyzed have raised their rates in 2021 compared to what they had the previous year.
The largest increase in the price of the minimum race has occurred this year in Ávila Y Segovia, 5.7% in both cases (from 3.50 to 3.70 euros) during daytime hours. follow him Almeria, with 3.7% at the same time (3.76 to 3.90 euros), and the rest of the capitals of Castile and Leon -Burgos, León, Palencia, Salamanca, Valladolid and Zamora-. In all cases, 2.8%, from 3.60 euros to 3.70, also during the day. On average, they have increased by 0.7% during the day and 0.5% at night.
The increase in the price per kilometer also influences what it costs the user to take a taxi. In this category, the greatest increase has occurred in Real city, whose rate has increased by 5%, from 1 euro to 1.05 euros, both at night and during the day. They follow him, during the day, Almeria Y Zaragoza with 2.4% both (from 0.82 to 0.84 euros). At night, the second largest increase was seen by Pontevedra, also with 2.4% (from 1.40 to 1.43 euros), and in third place was Almería, with 2.0% (from 1. 01 to 1.03 euros).
On average, the price per kilometer has increased by 0.4% during the day and by 0.3% during night hours.
