This moose had wandered into the center of Elverum and panicked with all the impressions. When he tried to reach the forest, he climbed over a fence, fell ten feet and died.

– I was called by the police, as we deal with wildlife incidents in the municipality. A dead moose had been found, so I went to get it, Halvorsen continues.

The head of the Fallviltgruppa says the moose in question was one and a half years old and had a live weight of between 200 and 250 kilos.
However, Friday’s crash is of the rarest kind, he says.
– We have 200 wildlife incidents in the municipality per year, mostly along the roads. Luckily, this one is great. In the center we also have deer, foxes and badgers, which are more common. When the moose wanders off into the city center, we usually manage to bring it back into the forest.
