The Ministry of Health reveals the functions of refrigerated vaccine vehicles in 9 pieces of information

The Ministry of Health and Population witnessed a number of refrigerated vaccine vehicles entering service, in order to provide vaccination services and vaccines to citizens.

“The Seventh Day” reviews all the data and functions of refrigerated vaccine cars as follows:

1- The Ministry of Health received modern refrigerated vaccine transport vehicles (RVTV) provided by the friendly government of Japan in cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

2- Delivery of modern refrigerated vaccine transport vehicles as part of a broader project aimed at strengthening the vaccine cold chain and increasing storage capacity in Egypt.

3- It will contribute to achieving a lasting positive impact on public health.

4- Five four-wheel drive vehicles designated for preserving and transporting grafts and serums were received.

5- The cars are considered a distinguished addition to the vaccine transport fleet in Egypt, as they are considered the first in the world to have passed the pre-qualification process for performance, quality and safety (PQS) by the World Health Organization.

6- These cars support the Ministry’s efforts to confront climate change, allowing the delivery of baits to all areas, especially remote areas that are difficult to reach or where there are no paved roads.

7- The cars are equipped with a refrigerator manufactured in a company that reaches temperatures from 2 to 8 degrees Celsius below zero in hot climates, with a liter capacity of 396 liters, and is equipped with shelves for easy placement of baits in them.

8- The refrigerator can be operated for a period of up to 16 hours, which contributes to maintaining vaccinations and serums at the required temperatures in places where there is no source of electrical current. This is because the car refrigerator operates on a separate battery, on the car battery, or on an electric cable while the car is stopped. .

9- The refrigerator is equipped with a screen to monitor the temperature while transporting the baits, and the car is equipped with two fuel tanks.
