Dr. Fawzi Fathi, Executive Director of the Mother and Fetal Health Initiative, confirmed that the initiative’s services are provided in all health units and medical centers, and cases that need advanced medical examinations are referred to 90 referral centers for HIV and HIV, in addition to 163 centers. for referral Syphilis patients At the level of the Republic, cases with high blood sugar or any other risk factors detected are referred to complete evaluation and treatment in 303 hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health.

Dr. Fawzi Fathi said that the initiative has more than 4,000 medical teams, who have been trained on how to use devices for early detection of infection with B virus, HIV and syphilis for pregnant women, and to perform blood sugar analyzes and physical measurements, in addition to training them on how to deal with With the beneficiaries, completing the follow-up card, and entering the data, explaining that the medical teams, devices and supplies that must be available have been distributed according to the number of pregnant women in each unit, and that work continues throughout the official working days from 8 am to 2 pm.
