  • For a few hours, the Acting Minister of the Economy Nikola StoyanovNikola Stoyanov was born in 1976 in Sofia. He graduated in Law at Sofia University has confirmed all 255 pending permits for import and export of military production to and from Bulgaria. He announced this for bTV himself and specified that the permits were delayed by more than a month and a half under the previous minister, Cornelia Ninova.

Most of the deals are for small arms ammunition, but also anti-tank recoilless systems, missiles for military aircraft and from ground installations, unguided air missiles, anti-tank mines.

As a rule, the approval of requests for the import and export of arms is done first by a group of experts. The Minister of Economy then convenes the Arms Export Commission and a final decision is made there. A committee convened today approved the deliveries.

The official minister of the economy: Ninova allowed herself to not comply with the law

The former minister said she had delayed, ie. in effect admitted that it did not comply with the law in the 30-day period to consider these files. My first task was to call the experts from the commission, to ask them if there was a problem, why you were not ready – they confirmed that everything was ready, but according to her instructions, the commission did not take place, Minister Stoyanov said.

    – What and where are the permits for export?

    – It’s mostly about ammunition. For various countries in Africa, Europe, some are also for Poland. The biggest part are for Poland.

The press center of the BSP replied that their leader Cornelia Ninova remains in her position since last week. Then she met the criticism with the words “Why are you wearing a hat, why are you without a hat?”.

The executive director of DCK: Currently there is no leakage of “Kintex”

She explained that she did not convene the arms export commission in order not to be accused of having allowed the export of 1 billion euros immediately before handing over the ministerial post.

The new minister is also suspicious of non-transparent appointments and payments in companies under the administration of Ninova. One of them is “Kintex”, where an inspection by the inspectorate and an investigation by the National Security Agency are ongoing.

Already last week, after receiving signals from the companies, I called the executive director from DCK and asked her, I said, I am sending official instructions to you to stop all appointments, dismissals and payments, to give me a week to orient myself to the situation. I understand that “Kintex” continued payments, whether so – the authorities will say, he added Nikola StoyanovNikola StoyanovNikola Stoyanov was born in 1976 in Sofia.
