Three new levels of equipment are appearing in the range – Newground, Homura and Takumi Plus.

The Mazda CX-5 facelift introduces the Mazda Intelligent Drive select (Mi-Drive), which allows the driver to select the most appropriate way to drive at the touch of a button. Some categories of models equipped with i-Activ AWD still benefit from an Off-Road mode, selectable via Mi-Drive.

Mazda promises that the new model brings improved comfort, while driving noise has been reduced, especially when driving on rough surfaces such as gravel.

In terms of assistance systems, the new CX-5 introduces a semi-autonomous driving system called Cruise & Traffic Support. It allows the car to be maneuvered in traffic jams by operating the accelerator, brake pedal and steering.

This isn’t the first time Mazda has updated the CX-5. He first did this in 2019, because last year the Japanese to try again. It seems that even that time they were not satisfied, hence the current intervention. A move that many expect is a touch screen for the multimedia unit, but it looks like a new update will be needed to meet this demand.
