Should we put on the mask or not to protect ourselves from Covid-19? For the mayor of Montluçon in any case, it is yes. Frédéric Laporte therefore encourages the inhabitants of the territory to put back the classic protective elements at the start of the summer period.

No obligation of course, but a strong recommendation at a time when the circulation of the virus is still accelerating in the Allier. Yesterday evening, the incidence rate reached 836 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which means that it has more than doubled in one week. And the number of Covid patients treated at Montluçon hospital – 24, including one in intensive care – is also significant.

Yesterday, the Prime Minister indicated that there would be no national obligation to wear a mask for the time being, but she also recommended it. There are currently nearly 400 new daily cases in the department.
