The scene occurred in two stages this Saturday morning in a service station on the chaussée de Fleurus in Gilly. The first part may take place before 9 a.m. when a vehicle arrives on the scene. A passenger gets out and walks towards the shop. The manager then points out to him that he is not wearing his anti-covid mask and asks him to leave the premises. The man gets angry and a first altercation follows, verbal, before his departure. He will come back a few moments later, with -finally- a protective mask. But in the meantime, a customer has come to refuel and he finds himself at the cash desk paying when the angry fellow asks him to hurry up a bit … Which obviously triggers a new moment of tension and the exchange of words not very pleasant.
When the customer finally gives way to the cash register, the masked man follows him, to continue the argument outside. He is quickly joined by the other two occupants of the car. And at three, they attack the unfortunate client, verbally at first and then more and more violently to the point of beating him up. The manager, seeing this, decides to leave his store to try to calm the tensions and to come to the rescue of his customer. He too will be violently taken to task by the three particularly “reassembled” individuals.
Both victims were injured. As for the three attackers, they were intercepted by the police and will be presented to the examining magistrate this Sunday.
