A tragic accident occurred on the A13 motorway near Chur on Wednesday evening. According to the police report, a man fell from the bridge of Haldensteinerstrasse onto the motorway and was hit by a car there. The seriously injured man died of his injuries at the scene of the accident, and the Chur rescue team was unable to do anything.
Even before the accident, the police had received a message that there was a person on the bridge outside the railing. When the emergency services from the Chur city police, Graubünden cantonal police and the fire department arrived, the accident had already happened. As a result, the north lane of the A13 was blocked for several hours.
As the Graubünden cantonal police wrote in a statement, the dead man’s identity has now been clarified. The casualty is a 21-year-old Swiss.
