In the battle against the gang of Seat Leon, It seems that Policeman is winning. Today the dismantling of the branch of this criminal organization dedicated to robbing establishments has been reported. On Serum and Langreo Two of its leaders have fallen, those who selected the cars to commit the robberies and the locals who would later assault. These two detainees are involved, according to investigators, in a robbery last December in Oviedo, the assault on a tobacconist and a pharmacy in Serum and from another watertight in Gijón at the beginning of this year. Investigations remain open and new arrests are not ruled out.
On the other hand, also the National Police has dismantled an organization that sexually exploited women whom it prostituted on dating floors of Asturias, León and Alicante. There are eight detainees – four in Asturias – five of whom have already entered prison – and two of the women have been released, who had been captured through the internet in Colombia. According to the usual method of this type of gang, the women acquired an alleged debt with their captors of around 3,000 euros that they had to repay by offering their sexual services, and in this case also by selling drugs to clients. In Asturias, two floors have been registered in You see and one in Langreo.
The women knew they were coming to Spain to practice prostitution, but supposedly they were offered a place on those dating floors to work freely. What they found was a semi-slavery regime: they had to be available 24 hours a day, controlled by video surveillance cameras, and on many occasions they were not even paid the agreed salary.
