The marathon will offer an animated film program, a jubilee screening dedicated to Vari Krūmiņš and Vizma Belševica, a selection of film chronicles, as well as several feature films.
“The thematic tendency for this year’s program is nature, environment, ecology. Therefore, one of the central feature films is Laila Pakalniņa’s documentary” Spoon “. This year the peculiarity is that portal special events will also be found. One of them is a discussion on environmental topics, and the other will be an opportunity to move between screenings – jumping, exercising and dancing – together with Latvian film actors, “said Kristīne Matīsa, a representative of the National Film Center.
The end of the evening is the film “Life”, which tells about the life of Krišjānis Barons. “We are showing a renewed version of the film. The film’s cinematographer Valdis Eglītis has restored the film with his own hands,” said Kristīne Matīsa.
