Given the low availability of blood components, the Regional Hemotherapy Center reiterated the request to the community to go and donate blood voluntarily and spontaneously, in order to respond to the demand of patients of all ages.
The body remembers that blood is an irreplaceable good, which can only be obtained if there are people who donate it. In addition, every day it is necessary to have blood products for transfusion to people who require it for various reasons, such as traffic or work accidents, emergency surgeries, complicated deliveries, hematological diseases, etc.
The objective is to change the paradigm of blood donation: that people who are in a position to donate do so when they want and can, even if they do not have a family member or acquaintance who needs a transfusion, since there will always be someone who is in need .
Although external collections are organized, people who wish to donate spontaneously can do so at Bolívar 687 (Salta), Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays, from 7 a.m. to 12 noon.

People between 16 and 65 years of age, with a minimum body weight of 50 kilos, without a history of heart, lung, liver, chagasic, oncological, infectious or other potentially risky disease for the recipient can donate blood.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women cannot be donors, nor can those who have undergone surgery in the last 12 months or those who have had a piercing or tattoo placed in the last 12 months.
