The notorious gang leader is said to have crossed the border into Iran on 6 October last year.

NRK has spoken to people in Norway and Sweden who connect the two.
The police do not want to comment on the information, but say that the man’s movements are part of the investigation.
– We have investigated a lot about this, but it is a little too early for us to say anything concrete about it right now, says police attorney Christian Finnanger in the East police district to NRK.
It has not been possible to question the shooting victim. The Swedish man in his 30s is still seriously injured in hospital after being hit by several shots.
The man’s legal representative does not wish to comment on the information.
Helped the “Fox” to lie low
The man, who goes by the name “The Kurdish Fox” is a central figure in the violent gang war that has rocked Sweden.
As the leader of the notorious Foxtrot network, Rawa Majid (37) has been hunted by both Interpol and rivals from the criminal underworld.
For several years he lived and managed his criminal business from Turkey, but in October last year “The Fox” is said to have fled to Iran.
According to NRK, the Swede who was shot in Moss must have assisted the Foxtrot leader during his escape to the Iranian border.
According to the Swedish crime journalist and author Diamant Salihu, the shooting victim must have met Rawa Majid in the city of Diyarbakir in eastern Turkey.
He has sources inside the Foxtrot network who have access to the same information as NRK.
– The information I have received after this person was shot in Norway is that he had been directly involved in helping Rava Majid during his escape from Turkey to Iran during the autumn of 2023. And this is information that was given to me by two completely independent sources in the Foxtrot environment, says Salihu to NRK.
According to SVT, Majid must have been arrested at a border crossing to Iran on 6 October this year.
This information has never been officially confirmed.
No one knows for sure where the Swedish gang leader is now.

Investigator in Sweden
Already at the beginning of the investigation, the attempted murder was linked to criminal, foreign networks.
Investigators from the East police district are now in Stockholm, where a so-called has been set up Joint Investigation Team (JIT).
The Norwegian investigators have also been to other Swedish cities in connection with the investigation. The aim is to uncover who ordered the open street shooting – and why.
– We are looking at that now. There are clear indications that there may be an order, says Finnanger.
Three men were arrested in Sweden and extradited to Norway, charged with attempted murder or complicity in this after the shooting on 28 November.
The police do not rule out that there may be more arrests.
– It may be appropriate to make more arrests, given that we are investigating mastermind devices and succeeding in doing so. But as of now, there is no one standing on the stairs, says Finnanger.
All deny criminal guilt
Two of the men whom the police have arrested in the case are in custody, while a third has been released.

– He gave an interview after he arrived in the country. Apart from that, he has not explained himself. It will also not be relevant to conduct any new interrogations in the future. He is not guilty of a crime, says the defender.
Lawyer Marius Dietrichson defends one of the accused men who is in custody.
His client is a 24-year-old Syrian citizen who lives in Sweden.
– For the time being, he has chosen not to cooperate with the police. He denies criminal guilt, says Dietrichson to NRK.
The third accused (19) has been released from custody and is back in Sweden. The police believe he was not in Norway during the actual murder attempt.
– He denies any involvement in the case, says defender Sille Heidar to NRK.
