The lottery administration The X of Porriño’s luck handed out three prizes from the Christmas lottery yesterday. A number from Gordo, 72,897, a fourth prize of 75,981 and a fifth of number 86986.
These are loose banknotes dispatched by machine, according to those responsible for the administration.
The fifth prize went to a 38-year-old young woman from the region who recently underwent breast cancer surgery and who appeared in the administration as soon as she knew that her number had come out.
Nothing is known about the winner of the first prize of 400,000 euros (less the 76,000 that the Treasury takes): “We assume that it is a person from the region, in our administration mainly people from close quarters buy lottery.” And the holders of the fourth prize that was awarded are not known either.
The lucky X this year sold lottery like never before “despite the pandemic” and, in fact, in recent days there were queues in the central street of Porriño where it is located more than 50 meters, because fortune is a a regular visitor every Christmas. Benjamín Martínez, the last of the generation of these lotteries, assures that he already arrived at the office nervous in the morning in which he considers one of the magical days of the year.
