The Mahalla al-Kubra Media Center in Gharbia Governorate, affiliated with the State Information Service, organized an awareness symposium, entitled “The concept of reproductive health and its importance in forming a strong family,” at the headquarters of the Samannoud Joint Industrial School.

Dr. Amani Al-Hamaki, Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist, Maternal and Child Care in Samannoud, and Dr. Mohamed Al-Morsi, Director of School Health in the region, lectured.

The meeting was attended by a group of school leaders, population education guidance, social education leaders in Samannoud, and school students.

The meeting was also moderated by Hala Abdel Azim, the center’s media professional, and under the supervision of Mahmoud Al-Samri, the center’s director.

The symposium discussed the concept of reproductive health, starting with healthy, healthy nutrition for young people, especially in adolescence, the need to ensure that they do not contract anemia, which causes many problems in adolescence and beyond, and the necessity of adhering to the legal age for marriage, as girls before this age are exposed to many risks in life. Pregnancy and childbirth may lead to death; Therefore, commitment must be made so that the children are healthy and the mother is not exposed to any risks.

The symposium stressed the need to pay attention to personal hygiene to avoid contracting skin and reproductive diseases that may affect public health and childbearing in the future, the necessity of medical follow-up if the disease is present, and the importance of medical examinations before marriage to avoid any hereditary diseases that may affect children.
