1st day

  • Flight to New York and arrival at the airport.
  • Transfer to your hotel. See the New York Airport Transfers section for the various possibilities that can be booked in advance.
  • Get started in your new neighborhood.
  • Discovery of Times Square. Objective: resist fatigue and the effects of jet lag to get into the New York rhythm as quickly as possible.

2nd day

MORNING – Statue of Liberty

  • Wake up around 5 am-5:30am because of the jet lag.
  • Look at the Wall Street bull without a tourist. The bull is on Bowling Green, a stone’s throw from Battery Park.
  • Visit the Statue of Liberty by taking the first boat from Battery Park. The first boat leaves at 8:30 a.m. from April 1 and in summer, at 9:30 a.m. in autumn and winter.
  • Visit to Ellis Island. A good tip: have lunch on the terrace at the Ellis Island cafeteria and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Manhattan skyline.

AFTERNOON – World Trade Center

3rd day

MORNING – Brooklyn Bridge and Financial District

  • Waking up still early because of the jet lag.
  • Walk on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade for a view of the Manhattan skyline (Clark St. subway).
  • Brooklyn Bridge Park and Dumbo neighborhood.
  • Crossing the Brooklyn Bridge.
  • Once in Manhattan, walk past City Hall, New York City Hall, Woolworth Building, and St Paul’s Chapel.
Wall Street : bourse de New York, Federal Reserve Bank…
  • Lunch possible in the Financial District.

AFTERNOON – Lower Manhattan and SoHo

  • Possibility to fly over New York by helicopter for an unforgettable experience.
  • Back on dry land, continue through Chinatown and Little Italy.
  • TriBeca et SoHo.
  • At the end of the day, why not take the PATH subway to New Jersey and enjoy the sunset from Paulus Hook. Spectacular view of New York!

4th day

MATIN – Midtown

AFTERNOON – Midtown

  • Possibility to visit the Museum of Modern Art or the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, the museum of aeronautics and space.
  • Shopping on Fifth Avenue. Find must-see stores in the New York Shopping Guide.
  • In the evening, return to Top of the Rock for a night view. In the morning, by presenting your tickets, you will indeed have the opportunity to take an option to come back the same evening: I really recommend it!

5th day

OFF – Chelsea

AFTERNOON – Greenwich Village

6th day

MATIN – Roosevelt Island

AFTERNOON – Outside Manhattan
It’s time to see something other than Manhattan! So spend this afternoon in another New York neighborhood. I recommend you :

  • Coney Island.
  • Le Downtown Brooklyn.
  • In the late afternoon, enjoy the view of the Midtown skyline from Gantry Plaza State Park in the Queens neighborhood.
  • Take a tour of Times Square again to catch a glimpse of neon lights, now that you are on New York time! Possibility of visiting the Madame Tussauds museum.
  • In the evening, why not attend a musical on Broadway, a 100% New York experience!

7th day

MORNING – Harlem and Central Park

  • Visit of Harlem. If it’s a Sunday, you can attend a Gospel Mass in Harlem. Alternatively, stroll along Martin Luther King Boulevard (125th Street) to see the Apollo Theater and experience the Harlem vibe.
  • Visit of Central Park. You can notably discover the Castle of Central Park, the Bethesda Terrace, the Imagine stele, the Bow Bridge.
  • For lunch: plan a picnic in Central Park.

AFTERNOON – Museum and Empire State building

8th day

MORNING – Free

  • I suggest you keep this morning free, either to go back and see a place that has marked you, for example the Financial District, or to go shopping.
  • If you’re looking for sightseeing ideas, you’ll still find plenty to see in the New York City Guide. You can also book a guided tour in the Excursions in New York section.

AFTERNOON – Departure

  • You must leave your hotel room at noon, but you can leave your suitcases at reception without any problem.
  • Take a final tour of your neighborhood and then plan your return transfer to the airport.
  • And don’t forget to come and tell us about your stay on the forum New York ! ????
