Al-Zaaq added, in a video clip, that the month of Muharram is the first month of the Hijri year, and it is a lunar year that depends on seeing the crescent in its months.
And he continued that it was called Muharram, because of its sanctity and holiness among the Arabs, and it is the month in which the pilgrims reach their families, so the Arabs forbade fighting a month before and after the Hajj.
Al-Zaaq indicated that the month of Muharram for this year is the hottest, because the water sinks in the wells and the humidity rises on the coasts.
