KOMPAS.TV – The DPR postponed the discussion of the Pancasila Ideology Bills Bill or the HIP Bill because it caused controversy in the community.
Now the PDIP faction proposes adjustments to the substance and nomenclature by changing the name of the Pancasila Ideology Bills Bill to the Pancasila Ideology Development Bill or the PIP Bill.
A wave of demonstrations continued as the HIP Bill emerged.

Some parties consider the HIP Bill to actually weaken Pancasila which is final.
Responding to the rejection, Chairman of the DPP PDIP Ahmad Basarah stated the HIP bill was deemed unable to meet the legal needs of the Indonesian people for the presence of a law as a legal umbrella for the implementation of the main task of fostering the ideology of Pancasila by the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency aka BPIP.
As such, the proposed name change to the Pancasila Ideological Building Bill or the PIP Bill is currently being proposed.
