Proposals for changes in the measures were proposed by the Minister of Health Adam Vojtěch (for YES). In general, a visit to swimming pools is subject to the submission of a negative test for covid-19 or proof of vaccination against the disease or its passing.
The new measure states that the conditions for proving infectivity will not be required in the case of swimming in school education. The condition is that the pupils of only one school must be present, or the supervising persons or operators are obliged to ensure the separation of the premises between the pupils of different schools.
In the amended measure, the Ministry also writes that the rule of 1.5 meters spacing does not apply in the case of group lessons if they are persons from one household or pupils of one school or a supervising person.
The numbers are rising
The daily numbers of people infected have been rising steadily since the end of August. Last week, they got slightly above three hundred, this week the increases are significantly higher. Already in the first four days of this week there were already more positive tests than in the whole of last week. Laboratories detected a total of 1,769 infected from Monday to Thursday, for the whole of last week it was 1,743.
Experts expect a further increase in the number of infected and hospitalized. Thanks to vaccinations and the high number of people who have already suffered from the disease, however, according to them, this situation should not be the same as last year during the autumn wave. At that time, the number of confirmed cases per day in November climbed to about 15,700 cases per day, and over eight thousand infected people required hospital care.

Since the first cases of the disease appeared in the Czech Republic at the beginning of last March, more than 1.68 million cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the country. Most of the infected were cured, 30,413 people with covid-19 died.
Since the beginning of vaccination in the Czech Republic, healthcare professionals have administered almost 11.61 million doses of the vaccine. On Thursday it was almost fourteen thousand, in a week-on-week comparison about five thousand less. More than 5.8 million people are fully vaccinated in the country.
