Before the break, the Girondins dreamed of securing a second consecutive victory. They will not have finally achieved the pass of two that escapes them since January 2019. The Girondins bow pitifully (1-3) on their lawn against Reims, 17th in Ligue 1 before the meeting.
Benoît Costil : The captain of the Girondins was not helped by his partners. He was decisive a few times. But on the goals scored by Reims, he can hardly do anything. On the strike that led to the second goal, he could have done better so as not to send it back to Dia.
Youssouf Sabaly : The right side had a complicated evening on his side. He was often put in difficulty by the percussions of the players of Reims. He is notably passive on the second conceded goal that comes from his side.

Yacine Adli : Jean-Louis Gasset aligned him in midfield to compensate for the absence of Otavio suspended. At a press conference, he spoke of his lack of consistency. He will not have made his coach lie and confirms that he still has room for improvement. It was however decisive in the recovery on the reduction of the score. He is replaced by Tom Lacoux in stoppage time.
Toma Basic : We are starting to get used to the performance of the Croatian. He was ghostly in the midfield. He came across players from Reims who put him in difficulty to relaunch like Chavalerin. Very few initiatives in attack, it was once again disappointing.
Mehdi Zerkane : The Algerian international was little in sight in this meeting. He took some initiatives in attack. The Nigerien did not show himself much on the front of the attack.
Remi Oudin : We saw him undertake more things in attack. He had confided in a press conference that he wanted to show himself more. The latter will not have shown himself in these few minutes.
Hatem Ben Arfa : As usual, he tried a lot without being very successful. Despite the pitiful performance of the Girondins, he continues to be decisive for his team. Indeed, he was again decisive passer on Hwang’s goal.
Hwang Ui-jo : He alternated the good and the less good. He was very little in sight in the first half where his usual activity was not present. Jean-Louis Gasset : The coach wanted to finish on a good note before the break to spend the holidays with peace of mind. His team composition at the start was consistent. He renewed the same eleven as against Strasbourg. The absence of Otavio weighed in the balance when it came to recovering the balls in midfield. Despite everything, the players have no excuse and have not displayed the right frame of mind. With only one shot (off target) in the first half, it is difficult to claim a result today even against the 17th in Ligue 1.
