The first competitive day of the Channel One Team Cup was closed by sports couples and girls. After the first two types, Evgenia Medvedeva’s team was in the lead.

The reigning champions of Europe Alexandra Boykova and Dmitry Kozlovsky came out to strengthen the advantage of the “Time of the First” team. And the first (spoiler – the only ones) made a gross mistake. Sasha again failed to throw a flip, but there was no fall – Boykova saved herself step-autom. Everything else was done perfectly: parallel triple salchow, twist, spins, step sequence, todes. But with this kind of competition, you have to skate flawlessly. They brought 77.80 points to the piggy bank of their team.

Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov from Alina Zagitova’s team took to the ice as catch-ups. And they coped with the pressure. Unmistakable victorious rental from three-time champions of Russia. Parallel triple toe loop, ejection of triple rittberger, twisting, rotation, todes – all to the fourth levels. 83.61 points for the Red Car.

Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov also gave one of the best skates of the season. Their Esmeralda, supported by a full arena, looks amazing. Ejection, parallel triple salchow, support, todes, backspin, spins – all with excellent markups and maximum levels. But the judges were not allowed to reach Tarasova and Morozov – 80.24.

Daria Pavlyuchenko and Denis Khodykin, even though they received the smallest points today, were again able to demonstrate their psychological stability – it is most difficult to skate last. The partner was a little shaken on the road from the ejection, but she resisted (and GOE remained positive), and everything else in the program worked out. But this is only 75.73 points. Though with clean skates of the opponents, these guys are still in a different category of assessment from the judges.

But, as it turned out, everything can turn one kind of program. Honestly, I expected that the girls from the “Red Car” in the free program would create an unreal chasm between the teams. But they have already shown who is the favorite here.

While Tuktamysheva was performing a butterfly on a triple axel, demonstrating a new short program to Billie Eilish’s “Lovely”, Khromykh fell out of the blue, and Trusova received traditional modest GOEs and components, girls from Tim Tutberidze or Tim Zagitova, whoever like it more, flew into space. Although it seems that Medvedeva’s team was called “Time of the First”.

Today’s MVP is undoubtedly Kamila Valieva. A luxurious component rental with amazing spins, steps, and most importantly – a pure triple axel. The triple flip, the cascade of the triple lutz – the triple toe loop were also perfect. And this allowed Camila to step into a new era of the figurine – 90.25 points. Even Alena Kostornaya did not gain that much last season.

Anna Shcherbakova and Daria Usacheva coped with their usual content without troubles. Today we have not seen that panting Anya of the sample short in the CR. She’s fine now. Shcherbakova performed a double axel, a triple flip and a cascade of triple lutz – triple rittberger. Usacheva had no problems with the same double axel, as well as a triple flip cascade – a triple toe loop and a triple lutz. By and large, the rittberger of the three-time champion of Russia determined the difference between the girls.

Trusova, Khromykh and Tuktamysheva lost 30 points to the girls from Khrustalny (Maya was not lucky to get into another team, although she is also a student of Tutberidze). Medvedeva’s wife should be offended, but yesterday she could well have made another choice and take Kamila to her.
