The Gendarmerie is looking for two psychologists for non-commissioned officer schools of Montlucon (Combine) and Châteaulin (Finistère). The announcement appears in effect this Thursday at Official newspaper. It therefore aims to recruit two officers commissioned to the rank of lieutenant.
These two positions are open to candidates with a master’s degree in work psychology delivering the title of psychologist. The Weapon is looking for candidates with professional training engineering experience. The main role of the incumbent will be to be a trainer in the initial training.
“This post, specifies the vacancy notice, requires a sense of thoroughness and discipline, a taste for teamwork and multidisciplinary exchange“. Applicants must have certain constraints in mind. These are trips to the school command, the possibility of working punctually on certain weekends or on night situations.
Psychologists will be commissioned officers of CTAGN
The candidate will therefore be recruited as commissioned officer of the technical and administrative body of the National Gendarmerie (CTAGN). Contractual within the limit of seventeen years of service, he will thus be offered an initial contract of two years at the rank of lieutenant.

The Gendarmerie regularly recruits for trades for which it does not have internal resources. Commissioned gendarmes sign up as an officer or non-commissioned officer for up to seventeen years with an initial contract of two to five years. Examples of this type of contract? Musicians at the Republican Guard or criminal intelligence analyst at the Central Office for Combating Crimes Against Humanity (OCLCH). Likewise, the Weapon is recruiting researchers in defense economics or experts in information systems security. In any case, they will wear the uniform of the 130,000 active constables and reservists.
