The former Mercedes and Hyundai designer offers a new nose for the BMW M3/M4. Is it better than the original?

In addition to their sporty characteristics, the BMW M3 and M4 also impress with their unusual design, which is not to everyone’s taste.

The characteristic front end with gigantic “kidneys” extending from the bonnet to the lower part of the bumper has a contradictory effect. Shortly after the presentation in 2020, a number of proposals appeared on the Internet, with ideas on how to “fix” this controversial part of both cars.

And since the radiator grille forms one part with the bumper, we have very often seen the vision of a new bumper with significantly smaller kidney pockets. Some well-known tuners have even promised to put their ideas into production and offer a product that owners of the M3 and M4 models can buy and exchange for the original bumper.

Recently, the Adro company boasted of such a product. The latter included in its offer a new bumper with a redesigned radiator grille, the design of which was designed by Davis Yongwon Lee, former designer of Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai and Rivian.

At the same time, the manufacturer claims that the change in appearance, about which the best judgment can be made after viewing the photos in the gallery (where you can compare the new nose shape with the standard M3/M4 design), is not for itself, but to further improve the aerodynamic properties. The company has also used lightweight materials.

Lee also points out that he had to take into account the technological equipment of both sharp models when planning the design. There are six parking sensors, a radar or a camera in the bow. Naturally, safety, ease of installation and maintaining optimal engine cooling also played a role.

Interested parties can already order the new front bumper, the price is currently 3.100 US dollars, which translates into around 73.000 crowns.

In addition to the new front end, Adro offers various sporty accessories for the M3/M4, often made of carbon fibre. For example, it’s a new rear diffuser, rear wing, new sills or front “lollipop”.
