The Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Metrology and Technical Supervision (SAMTS) Gen. Kiril Voynov died at the age of 70, the agency reported.
Kiril Voynov began his career in the Ministry of Interior in 1975 as a platoon commander at the Sofia Fire Service. Gradually passes through all positions in the system of the Ministry of Interior. In the period 1994 – 2006 he was Director of the National Service “Fire and Emergency Safety” – Ministry of Interior.
In 2003, by decree of President Voinov, he was awarded the rank of “Major General of the Ministry of Interior”. In 2021, o.r. General Kiril Voinov was awarded the “Golden Badge of Honor of DAMTN” – second degree.
In 2016, Gen. Voinov takes an active part in the creation and structuring of the General Directorate “Supervision of Dam Walls and Facilities”. From 2016 to 2017 he was the General Director of the General Directorate “Supervision of the dam walls and their facilities”.
In 2015 is an adviser to Prime Minister Boyko Borissov. “Respect! A true professional and friend. Condolences to his relatives!” Borissov wrote on Facebook about the incident.
The worship will take place on 21.07. (Wednesday) from 11.30 in the Church of St. Sophia.
